How can I check availability for a particular date?
Submit a venue rental inquiry, and a member of our Venue Rentals and Special Events team will get back to you as soon as possible with availability.
 
Can I place a soft hold on the space? How long can I hold the space?
We can place a soft hold on spaces for up to 72 hours. After this time, the hold may be released at the discretion of the Venue Rentals and Special Events Department.
 
Do you offer discounts?
We have reduced rates for 501(c)3 Not for Profit organizations.
 
My event has unique needs; can HSA accommodate them?
Many of HSA’s rental spaces are adaptable for various event needs. Our Venue Rentals and Special Events team are happy to work with you to accommodate as they are able.
 
What technology and supplies are included in the space?
Dorothy Maynor Hall includes a full sound and lighting system, a projector with a drop-down screen, and a ceiling-mounted camera that can be used for live streaming. Please refer to our tech spec sheet for further details.
 
What technology and supplies should I bring with me?
All décor and food service items are the responsibility of the event planner/occupant. Available technology differs for each space and may include audio/visual and wifi.
 
Do you have parking?
HSA does not have a private parking lot, but the following options are in close proximity to our building:

Do you have a food prep area? What amenities are available?
The café includes an ice machine, refrigerator, food prep counters, and a double sink; the all-purpose room includes a sink and food prep counters.
 
Does HSA have an elevator?
Yes, HSA has an elevator that can be used to access the second floor of the building.
 
Does HSA have wifi?
Yes, HSA has public wifi.
 
Cancellation Policy
A percentage of fees/deposits paid are refundable up to a certain amount of time prior to cancellation.
 

COVID-19

 
What is your mask policy for renters?
HSA strongly recommends and encourages all staff, faculty, visitors, and students to wear a mask while at HSA, regardless of vaccination status. Masks are available at the security desk.
 
What is your vaccination policy for renters?
We do not currently have a vaccination policy in place for renters.
 

Dance Studios

 
What type of floors do your dance studios have?
All three of our dance studios have permanent sprung marley floors.
 
What type of footwear is allowed in the studios?
Shoes worn outdoors are not allowed in the studios. Dance shoes (shoes worn for dancing), including flamenco shoes, non-marking sneakers, ballet slippers, and tap shoes, may be worn. Stiletto heels are strictly prohibited.
 
How can I play music during my rental? Should I plan to bring my own sound system?
Each of our studios has a Steinway piano and comes equipped with either a built-in sound system or boom box with the capability to play music from a device via Bluetooth, aux cord, or CD. You may also bring your own sound system and/or musicians if you prefer.
