HSA’s 60th Anniversary!

Dorothy Maynor Hall is an impressive two-story high, 3,500 sq. foot atrium space with a state-of-the-art enhanced audio/visual system and streaming capability. The hall’s designs were the central focus of the larger HSA Renaissance Project of 2020. Designed by Imrey Studio LLC, an architectural firm that specializes in cultural facilities, it features retractable curtains, a drop-down screen, sophisticated lighting, an audio modulation system, and wood floors. The space can be adapted and decorated to taste for various events, including a seated dinner, standing reception, meeting, etc. Despite its openness and soaring ceiling height, the sound quality is exceptional and well-suited to recitals and musical performances. The hall’s superior sound and acoustical qualities were conceptualized by legendary architect/acoustician John Storyk, who rose to prominence for his work on Jimi Hendrix’s Electric Lady Studios. During mild weather, guests can enjoy direct access to the courtyard.
