The Herb Alpert Foundation
Herb Alpert, a legendary jazz musician, picked up a trumpet in his elementary school music class, and he never looked back—music became his life. Alpert has since dedicated his life to the art. Through the Herb Alpert Foundation, Alpert and his family have become forerunners in arts education philanthropy. Since 2010, the Alpert Foundation has played a crucial role in supporting the Harlem School of the Arts (HSA), particularly during a time when the school faced the threat of permanent closure. The continued support from Mr. Alpert, his family, and their foundation has been vital to HSA’s mission of offering world-class arts education to young people with immense potential. Their contributions ensure the nurturing of the next generation of artists.
