FINANCIAL AID

Financial aid is awarded solely on the basis of economic need without regard for race, religion, nationality, ethnicity or sexual orientation. All financial aid information is confidential and an applicant’s financial need does not affect their acceptance to any of our programs.  HSA provides financial aid on a first come, first serve basis through the generous donations on the Herb Alpert Foundation and other generous benefactors.

Applications are processed through Private Aid School Service, an independent financial aid assessment company.   Please note that PSAS charges a non-refundable $27.00 fee to all applicants.

Once your application is complete, PSAS will evaluate your financial need and make a recommendation to HSA. If your application is incomplete or has been improperly submitted, a representative from PSAS will contact you directly. Financial need is evaluated based on the number of classes requested for a full year of enrollment. HSA must have a 2016-2017 registration form on file in order to complete the financial aid process. Submitting an application does not guarantee that a tuition grant will be awarded.

  Financial Aid applications for the 2016-2017 school year will be available beginning May 1, 2016.
In order for your application to be considered, it must be submitted along with an HSA registration form by Friday, July 15, 2016.
Late applications will not be accepted.

Steps to apply

Complete the following steps to apply for 2016-17 HSA Financial Aid:

  1. Submit completed HSA registration by July 15, 2016.
    Only full-year students will be considered for financial aid. We are not accepting applications for one semester. Scholarship awards for each eligible, full-year student are need-based upon available funds.
  2. Submit financial aid application by July 15, 2016.

  By Mail: request a 2016-2017 financial aid form from the HSA Registration office or download the forms on this page*

We will send out notifications of your award status by August 15, 2016. At that time, you will be responsible for any tuition amount not covered by your financial aid award, and we will send an invoice for the tuition balance due.
