Giving/Tax-Smart Giving/IRA Charitable Rollover

Tax-Smart Giving

Give from your IRA.

If you’re age 70½ or older, you may be able to make a Qualified Charitable Distribution, or QCD, directly from your IRA to Harlem School of the Arts.

When the requirements are met, a QCD is generally excluded from taxable income. If you are subject to a required minimum distribution, a qualifying QCD can also count toward that requirement.

For 2026:

+The annual QCD limit is up to $111,000 per eligible IRA owner.
+You must be at least age 70½ when the distribution is made.
+The distribution should be made directly by your IRA custodian to the eligible charitable organization.

Harlem School of the Arts is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. EIN: 13-2552500.
