Arts education is not a luxury. For the 2,000+ young people HSA serves each year, the arts are a lifeline, a launchpad, and a place in their lives where someone is investing in their potential at the highest level.
Your support provides financial aid and scholarships to every single student in our programs. Our school year comes to a close on June 30th — every dollar we raise goes directly to our young people.

The teachers who stay
HSA’s faculty don’t just teach — they show up, year after year, because of what they see in their students. Jude Perry-Evans, lead teaching artist in HSA’s Dance Department, first came to teach a Summer Dance Intensive. Nearly a decade later, he’s still here.

This year in numbers
Our Board Co-Chairs Ken Taber and Sandee Buchanan put this year’s impact plainly: training valued at nearly $10,000 per student, delivered at little to no cost, because of a community that believes in this work.
17 graduating pre-professional students headed to top universities — with over $750,000 in college scholarships awarded across the class. 2,000+ students served. 39 community partnerships.

A year to be proud of
This spring, HSA students performed a sold-out run of In the Heights. We celebrated six decades of impact at our annual Gala. And we released our 2026 Impact Snapshot — a look at what your investment made possible this year.
