Harlem Summer Arts Experience

Our summer camp is a six week program for children aged 5 to 14 (Kindergarten - 8th grade) that runs from July 6 to August 14, 2026. Campers will explore new concepts, engage in artistic activities, and enjoy field trips. Take advantage of Early Bird Discounts: Save 10% by registering on or before April 17. We also offer flexible payment plans and financial aid options for greater accessibility. NOTE: The financial aid application deadline is May 1, and the last day to register for summer camp is June 14.

Session A runs from July 6 to July 17.

Session B runs from July 20 to July 31.

Session C runs from Aug 3 to Aug 14.

Love, Life, and Dance!

Summer Dance Intensive 2026

The HSA Dance Summer Intensive is a ballet and modern based training program for students with at least two years of consistent training. Ballet classes will be a part of the daily curriculum and pointe classes will also be offered. To complement the ballet focus, the intensive will also offer contemporary, Horton Technique, Jazz, Lindy Hop and Hip-Hop. Additionally, in celebration of our partnership with the Radio City Rockettes, we will present weekly precision technique classes led by a member of the Radio City Rockettes. The intensive will end with our Summer Blaze concert on August 21st at 5:30pm. This experience is designed to grow the technique of intermediate and advanced dancers. The intensive is about love, Iife, and dance! The deadline for video submissions is Friday July 10th, 2026.

For students ages 8-17 who dream of pursuing art as a career, we offer specialized programs called HSA Prep and HSA Pre-Prep. These programs provide advanced artistic training in a supportive environment, helping young artists build the skills and confidence they need for future success in the arts.

Our experienced department directors work personally with each student to evaluate their current skills and interests. This helps us place your child in the perfect class where they’ll feel both challenged and confident as they grow their artistic abilities.

Yes. However, for those students who do not have access to an instrument, HSA can provide a list of stores that rent a variety of instruments.

Our program runs in two terms of 16 weeks each, for a total of 32 weeks of artistic exploration. Class lengths are designed with your child’s age and attention span in mind – toddler classes are a fun-filled hour, while older students enjoy immersive two-hour sessions.
