Give Once
Make a One-Time Gift
A single gift, right now, goes directly toward keeping tuition affordable and HSA’s doors open to every young artist who walks through them.
Give Monthly
Make a Sustaining Monthly Gift
Monthly gifts give HSA reliable, predictable funding we can count on all year —not just during fundraising season. A sustaining gift often adds up to a bigger annual impact than a single one-time gift, while spreading the cost more comfortably for you.

Quick, flexible, and tax-efficient.
What is a Donor-Advised Fund?
A Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) is a charitable giving program that allows you to make tax-efficient donations with the flexibility to support your favorite causes. Through our DAF Direct widget, giving from your Fidelity Charitable, DAFGiving360, and BNY Mellon accounts has never been easier.
Grants recommended to HSA can be designated in two ways:

Tax-Smart Giving
Gifts of Stock
Make a bigger gift, pay less in taxes.
Why Gift Stock Instead of Cash?
Donating appreciated stock, bonds, or mutual funds you’ve held for more than a year is one of the most tax-efficient ways to support HSA’s students and programs, often more effective than giving cash. When you give securities directly, you avoid paying federal capital gains tax on the appreciation, and you can generally deduct the full fair market value of the gift.

Leave a Legacy
Planned Giving
Support HSA’s future at no cost to you today.
What Is Planned Giving?
A planned gift — most commonly a bequest in your will or estate plan — costs you nothing today. It’s simply a promise that, when your estate is settled, a portion will go toward keeping HSA’s doors open for the next generation of young artists.
Sample bequest language:
“I give to Harlem School of the Arts (HSA), a nonprofit corporation currently located at 645 St. Nicholas Avenue, or its successor thereto, ____________ [written amount or percentage of the estate or description of property] for its unrestricted use and purpose.”
